In addition to our higher level phylogenetic work which involves many species (too many to show photos of) members of my lab are addressing a diverse array of questions in behavioural and molecular ecology. Here are some photos of our current study animals.

Pacific Blue-eye

Pseudomugil signifer

Bob Wong worked on this study animal for his PhD

Southern water skink (and baby)

Eulamprus heatwolei

This is Scott's main study animal and several of his honours and PhD students also have worked on this species. Jo Sumner is now working on the phylogeography and phylogenetics of this group for her ARC Postdoc.

Garden skink

Lampropholis guichinoti

Sharon Downes (ARC Postdoc) and Anke Maria Hoefer's (PhD student) worked on this study animal.

Velvet gecko

Oedura lesueurii

This was another of Sharon Downes' study animals and Junko Kondo also worked on this species doing her honours.

White's Skink

Egernia whitii

This was David Chapple's main study animal for his PhD

Mountain Log Skink

Psuedemoia entrecasteauxii

This was Jessica Stapley's main study animal for her PhD

Rosenberg's goanna

Varanus rosenbergi

This is Warwick Smith's main study

Tawny dragon

Ctenophours decresei

This was Louise Osborne's main study animal for her PhD

Brown Toadlet

Pseudophryne bibroni

This was Phil Byrne's study animal for his ARC Postdoc.

Sunset frog

Spicospina flammocaerulea

This is one of several frog species from SW Australia that Danielle Edwards is working on.
