	Background In 2007-8 I completed my Honours at the ANU with my main supervisor as Patricia Backwell. I started a PhD in 2008 with my main supervisor as Patricia Backwell and co-supervision by Michael Jennions. In late 2008 we spent three months doing fieldwork on fiddler crabs in Mozambique .
