Instrument Bookings are made on a web-based system.

New users will receive a login and password when they have completed the induction procedures. Instruments become visible when a user has access to them.

 

Please DO NOT:

Cancel a session once started...you will lose web booking access

Book more than two sessions ahead on electron microscopes ...the extra sessions will be deleted

Book sessions in your name for another person, or swap booked sessions with another person...you will both lose web booking access!

Please DO:

Be aware that there are more instruments than staff. If you are not yet working independently on an instrument, please check that there will be a staff member available before making a booking at short notice.

Always make a web booking if you use an instrument, even for a short time- the booking system serves as our usage record.
