Gleb Beliakov obtained his MS and PhD degrees in theoretical and computational physics in Russian People's Friendship University in Moscow, in 1990 and 1992 respectively. After this he worked as a programmer in Zurich, Switzerland, using brand new multimedia platform, called CD-Interactive. From August 1993 to June 1995 he tought mathematics in the Los Andes University, Bogota, Colombia. Since August 1995 he is with Department of Mathematics, University of Melbourne. In November 1994 Dr.Beliakov was awarded among 34 best programmers in European Union for his educational software (winner of the European Academic Software Award). His current interests include numerical analysis (smoothing splines), artificial intelligence (fuzzy set theory), and computer aided learning.
