This network is being established as a working model for a more permanent database as a result of the AUSTRALIA/THAILAND WORKSHOP ON R&D COLLABORATION AND HIGHER DEGREE AND NETWORK DEVELOPMENT organised by DEET with assistance from the AVCC and in cooperation with the Thai Ministry of University Affairs on November 7-8 1994.
The database was proposed as a means to provide structure and direction to the establishment of a network between Thai and Australian Academics. It attempts to do this by providing a freely accessible networked site where scholars can register their interests in collaborative activities and can also express their interests in further collaborative projects
The success of this network service depends on the involvement of individual academics. It's success will be reviewed in April 1995. Until then, plase follow the development of this network and become involved where appropriate.
