Mark Gwynn has an honours degree in English literature from the Australian National University. He has been a researcher and editor at the Centre since 2002. Mark assisted Bruce Moore with the editing of the Australian Concise Oxford Dictionary (4th edition), the Australian Oxford Dictionary (2nd edition), and the Australian Oxford Paperback Dictionary. He is the editor of the Australian Oxford Mini Dictionary (3rd edition), and with Tony Alderman a co-editor of the Australian Student's Colour Dictionary (3rd edition), and the Australian Integrated Mini Dictionary & Thesaurus (1st edition). Mark has recently worked on the Australian Middle Years Thesaurus and the 6th edition of the Australian Oxford Pocket Dictionary. Mark has conducted research for Bruce Moore on various historical aspects of Australian English and has appeared on ABC radio. Articles written for the Centre's publication Ozwords include topics covering Australian terms for swimwear, Australian eponyms, and Australian rhyming slang.
