Nicholas Biddle is currently a PhD student at CAEPR, where he is
researching education outcomes of Indigenous Australians as part of a
linkage grant between CAEPR and the ABS. Other work that he has been
involved with at CAEPR includes a demographic profile of the Indigenous
population of the Murray Darling Basin, an analysis of Indigenous
population and diversity for the National Reconciliation Planning
Workshop, and a summary of the CDEP scheme prepared for the National
Centre for Vocational Education Research.
Nicholas has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Sydney and
a Masters in
Education from Monash University. He is on
study leave from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, where he has worked
since 2001, focussing his research on neighbourhood income inequality, the
measurement of Indigenous poverty, and health assimilation of Australian
migrants.
