Frances Morphy, CAEPR Fellow
Research InterestsFrances recently became a full-time Fellow after several years of combining a part-time position at CAEPR with freelance work as an editor and consultant anthropologist and linguist. She is currently the Senior Research Associate on an ARC linkage project, 'Assessing the Quality of the Data and the Enumeration Process: The 2006 Census and Indigenous People in Remote Areas', and is also undertaking a case study for the Indigenous Community Governance project in north-east Arnhem Land, where she has a record of research dating back to the 1970s. With CAEPR colleague Bill Arthur, Frances is the co-editor of the Macquarie Atlas of Indigenous Australia. In an earlier stage of her career she was a commissioning editor at Oxford University Press, Oxford.
