Martin Heskins has over 25 years experience in tertiary education administration.  From 1995 to 2008 he was employed by Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education.  From 2005 to 2008 he was a member of the Institute's executive as head of the Finance and Infrastructure Division at the Institute and was responsible for the financies, facilities, information technology and records management.  He also had institute wide responsibilities in regard to risk management and copyright issues as well as negotiation of all major expenditure contracts.

Martin joined the staff of CAEPR in June 2009 as its executive officer and senior administrator.
