Thailand Update Conference 2009

In November,  the National Thai Studies Centre (NTSC) at the Australian National University will be holding an update conference in Canberra on the general theme of “Corruption and the New Politics in Thailand”. The provisional date of the conference is 2 November. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.

 

The Update will feature speakers from Thailand and Australia with specialised knowledge  of this important subject. As with previous Updates, it will include speakers providing economic and political updates on Thailand. A feature of the Update will be a comparative session on anti-corruption policy in Thailand and Indonesia. The session will include speakers with expert knowledge of  the nature of corruption, its consequences, and attempts in both countries to curtail it.
